Their collaboration started in the mid-1950s and lasted until 2021, many years beyond Bill Reid’s death in 1998. Bob considered books to be works of art that gave delight “to hold and see.” Bill considered Northwest Coast pieces of adornment as “objects of bright pride.” With writings from Dr. Martine Reid, Chester Gryski, Yosef Wosk, Bill Reid and Aliya Boubard, this beautifully illustrated catalogue explores both their individual and collaborative works.
Combined with a sense of humour and playfulness, the publication reveals an exciting spirit of experimentation, their mutual commitment to excellence, and their ongoing influence on artists today.
