How are painters on the Northwest Coast expanding boundaries while also staying true to historic principles of form, story and place? True to Place: stímetstexw tel xéltel examines the artistic practice of 10 Indigenous painters inspired by place-based stories and contemporary themes, while also continuously grasping onto new and innovative tools and forms of expression. Artists include Atheana Picha, Corey Bulpitt, Crystal Worl, Eliot White-Hill, Luke Parnell, Ocean Hyland, Robert Davidson, Shawn Hunt, Steve Smith, and Thomas Jones.
