Jamin will share the story behind his journey and the process of bringing Northwest Coast design onto one of the world’s biggest stages. It’s a chance to hear firsthand how Indigenous art connects with a global audience through the lens of sport.

Jamin Zuroski is a ‘Namgis First Nations artist based in Vancouver, with Ukrainian and Polish ancestry on his father’s side and ‘Namgis heritage on his mother’s. His family comes from Alert Bay on Cormorant Island, within the territories of the Kwakwaka’wakw peoples.
He began developing his practice at a young age, earning multiple art awards and training under mentors including Victor Newman, Carey Newman, and Rande Cook.
With over 25 years of experience, Jamin has collaborated with artists, communities, and organizations on a wide range of cultural projects. His work spans cedar carving, sandblasting, mural and canvas painting, skateboards, and digital design.
