Moccasin-Making Workshop with Jamie Gentry
Bill Reid GallerySaturday, July 11th, 2026
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Join artist Jamie Gentry (Kwakwaka'wakw) for an intimate, full-day moccasin-making workshop rooted in care, patience, and hands-on learning.
In this small-group workshop, participants will learn how to work with prepared hide and create their very own pair of traditional moccasins. Guided step-by-step by Jamie, each participant will move through the process at a thoughtful pace, from working with materials to stitching and shaping a finished pair to take home.
Jamie provides everything needed for the workshop, including hides, tools, threads, and patterns. With a maximum of 10 participants, this experience offers space for close guidance, conversation, and connection without feeling rushed.
More than a craft workshop, this is an opportunity to slow down, learn with intention, and connect deeply with materials, process, and community.
All materials, hands-on instruction, and light refreshments included. Limited to 9 participants.
