Xi Xanya Dzam: Those Who Are Amazing at Making Things

Xi xanya dzam is the Kwak'wala word (pronounced hee hun ya zam) which describes the gifted people who create works of art, and is the title of our upcoming exhibition. It features work by 11 recipients of the BC Lifetime Creative Achievement Awards for First Nations Art (2007 – 2016) and highlights how different nations celebrate excellence:
