Learn how to create your own cedar woven bracelet! Join Haida weaver, Giihlgiigaa Todd Devries in an online cedar bracelet weaving workshop.
Materials are included and need to be picked up at the Bill Reid Gallery in advance.

Workshop fees include cedar bracelet materials
$25 for non-members | $20 for members
Limited to 20 participants, online pre-registration required

The following items are necessary for the online workshop and are not included in the materials given:

- scissors
- towel
- bowl of lukewarm water
- clothes pin (wooden or bamboo)
- measuring tape or ruler
- darning needle (somore yarn needles, available at the dollar store)
- tumbler cup (optional)

Please pre-soak your cedar strips in a bowl of lukewarm water for 5 to 10 minutes prior to the start of the online workshop. You may use buttons or other materials that you have at home to decorate your bracelet.

Todd DeVries is a weaver and a member of the Eagle clan of the Haida Nation. Todd began his weaving journey in 2001 and learned various techniques along his way. He weaves using western red cedar bark along with traditional techniques to create hats, baskets, placemats, bracelets, headbands, and much more.
