“Dogfish Woman is an important crest and story being. She is a powerful hybrid creature who wears a crown and is a close relative of Dogfish. Dogfish Woman was once fully human, but was abducted by Dogfish—some say for teasing him…[She] gradually transformed into a human shark hybrid creature. Her metamorphosis is something associated with changes in weather. The representation of a labret (a lower lip ornament) on an image of Dogfish indicated Dogfish Woman in her marine guise.
