MITCH ADAMS (HAIDA/TSIMSHIAN) Close

Mitch Adam was introduced to Northwest Coast design and engraving at a young age by his father Ivan Adams, a notary Haida jeweller. However, Mitch only began creating art on a regular basis until 2005. In 2010, he enrolled in Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art in Terrace, B.C. where he learnt Northwest Coast design and carving techniques from celebrated artists such as Stan Bevan (Tahltan/Tlingit/Tsimshian), Dempsey Bob (Tahltan/Tlingit), and Ken McNeil (Tahltan/Tlingit/Nisga'a). Mitch has become a talented designer and wood carver since.
