Formline Design and Discussion with Arlene Ness
Well-Made Object Workshop - SOLD OUT
Online Workshop: Formline Design and Discussion with Arlene Ness
This online workshop is available only in Canada.
Saturday, July 17, 2021, 1 - 3 pm
Formline design is integral to Indigenous Northwest Coast art. While the designs vary, the ovoid and U-shape can be consistently found within carvings, weavings, and other mediums. In this online workshop, join Gitxsan artist Arlene Ness, as she demonstrates her knowledge with formline design. Participants will receive a design pre-made by Ness, and will paint her design as she engages in a discussion regarding the traditional art form.
