Online Pro-D Day Workshop for Educators: Exploring Cultural Appropriation

Monday, April 25, 2022, 10 - 11:30 am
Teachers are invited to join educator and artist Toonasa (Dakelh/Wet’suwe’ten) for an online discussion on cultural appropriation. With the introduction of Indigenous content in the new BC curriculum, many teachers have questions and concerns about using Indigenous art in their classrooms. In this workshop, you will gain a broader and deeper understanding of cultural appropriation, especially as it relates to Indigenous art of the Northwest Coast. This will help you navigate conversations and projects with Indigenous content in the classroom.
Registrants will receive a link one day before the workshop.
