More about Jaad Kuujus/Meghann O'Brien

O'Brien's practice and pedagogy comes from her cultural roots of the Haida and Kwakwaka’wakw. Her practice spans from traditional basketry weaving, textile weaving; specifically Raven’s Tail (Yelth) and Chilkat Naaxiin. Interface is a survey of the weavings, basketry and textile works. Initially, a professional snowboarder, in 2010 O'Brien left her athletic passion to pursue mastery of traditional weaving.
