Celebrate BC Family Day weekend at the Bill Reid Gallery with Kwakwaka’wakw artist, composer, singer and cultural leader Rory Dawson. Coinciding with Keeping the Song Alive, this informative talk will focus on Kwakwaka’wakw drumming, Rory’s experiences with the Urban Dance Group, and his own personal knowledge of songs, composition, and dancing. He will also explain and demonstrate the log drum currently on display in the Hummingbird Gathering Space.

This event will occur in-person. There will also be a livestream on Facebook for those who would prefer to attend online. Registration is required due to limited space in our Hummingbird Gathering Space.

Limit of 30 participants. In-person attendees must pre-register via Eventbrite.
