Closing Celebration: 13 Moons Around the Lake

We warmly invite you to the closing event of the "13 Moons Around the Lake" exhibition on January 28th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This marks the end of the "Honouring Our Grandmother’s Healing Journey" exhibition and the beginning of its next chapter.

Artist Ronnie Dean Harris will highlight the event with a presentation about his painted chest, showcasing the blend of art and culture. Guest curator Nadine Spence will also share her insights, enriching the experience with her knowledge and passion for the exhibition.

The celebration includes singing, drumming, and a special ceremony to honor the featured chests, representing our rich cultural heritage. These performances and rituals symbolize the community's connection to art and tradition.
