Bill Reid: Master of Haida Art 


The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art is Vancouver’s newest public Gallery, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver at 639 Hornby Street, between Georgia and Dunsmuir. Bill Reid: Master of Haida Art, the Gallery’s inaugural exhibition captures the late artist’s journey using his own art, stories, and film.

The exhibition runs until June 2009.

  The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art opened in Vancouver, Canada on May 10, 2008. This new public institution will create and present exhibitions of contemporary Northwest Coast Aboriginal art in a critical context.

Continuum: Vision and Creativity on the Northwest Coast is an exhibition of commissioned artwork from 23 emerging and mid-career artists from as far north as Sitka, Alaska, along the coast of British Columbia from Vancouver and Victoria to Masset and Bella Bella, and south to Bellingham and Seattle.

Kil Sli Native Gift Shop Opens in the Bill Reid Gallery

The Kil Sli  Native Gift Shop is located in Vancouver’s newest art gallery, the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, at 639 Hornby.

Store proprietor Debra Hoggan has assembled works for sale representing a wide variety of Northwest Coast Native art and Aboriginal artists and materials, both traditional and contemporary.
